UX/UI Design for IoT Products and Connected Interfaces
We design the interfaces that make complex connected products usable, from embedded touchscreen displays and IoT dashboards to mobile companion apps and web control platforms. Our UX/UI team works alongside our hardware and software engineers from day one, so the interface is designed with the full product in mind, not bolted on at the end. Based in Veldhoven, we serve product companies across the Netherlands and Europe.
Our Services
-

UX Strategy & Product Definition
We define the product experience before a single screen is designed, user research, competitive analysis, information architecture, interaction design, and UX audits of existing products. We translate user needs and business goals into a clear, buildable product specification that development can execute against.
-

UI Design & Visual Systems
We design the visual layer your users interact with, interface components, typography, colour systems, iconography, and data visualisation. We build everything into a scalable design system that ensures consistency across all screens, platforms, and future features, so your product can grow without a full redesign.
-

Web, Mobile & Embedded Interfaces
We design interfaces across the full range of connected product touchpoints, IoT web dashboards, iOS and Android companion apps, cross-platform mobile interfaces, wearable device displays, and embedded touchscreens. Designing for embedded and constrained displays requires a different skillset from standard app design, one our team builds into every project from the start.
-

Prototyping & Usability Validation
Wireframes, interactive prototypes, and usability testing to validate concepts early and reduce development risk.
Our complete design process
-
We kick off by aligning on business goals, user needs, and technical constraints. We form the project team, define roles, interview stakeholders, and establish a clear design brief that keeps every subsequent decision grounded in the right objectives.
-
We map the full product structure, user flows, navigation hierarchy, content organisation, and interaction patterns. This phase produces the wireframe skeleton your interface is built on, ensuring every screen and state is accounted for before visual design begins.
-
We translate the information architecture into interactive prototypes that simulate the real product experience. Early prototypes are intentionally low-fidelity, the goal is to test core interactions quickly and cheaply before committing to visual design.
-
We test prototypes with real users, collecting qualitative and quantitative feedback on usability, task completion, and comprehension. Findings feed directly into the next iteration, we don't validate once and move on, we validate continuously.
-
We apply your brand identity and build a polished visual layer over the validated interaction model, typography, colour system, iconography, spacing, and component library. The result is a design system that scales across screens, platforms, and future product features.
-
We deliver production-ready design files with component documentation, interaction specifications, and handoff notes in Figma. We stay actively involved during development, reviewing builds, answering implementation questions, and ensuring the finished product matches the approved design.

Your Questions, Answered
-
We follow a structured design process that begins with understanding your users and business goals, moves into iterative design and prototyping, and concludes with usability testing and refinement. This ensures that solutions are both user-centric and technically feasible.
-
Our primary design tool is Figma, which enables real-time collaboration, component-based design systems, and high-fidelity interactive prototyping, so you can review and interact with your product experience before development begins. We also use Adobe Creative Suite for visual asset production and brand alignment.
-
Project timelines vary based on complexity, scope, and deliverables (e.g., embedded interfaces vs web dashboards). After an initial discovery call, we’ll provide a clear timeline and milestones tailored to your project.
-
Yes. We design scalable UI systems that support future features, platform expansion, and multiple device types, avoiding redesigns as your product evolves.
-
Absolutely. We design interfaces that respect industry-specific requirements (e.g. medical, industrial, or safety-critical environments) while maintaining usability and clarity.
-
Yes. We regularly collaborate with in-house product teams, external development partners, and hardware engineers. We can join an existing product team at any stage, conducting a UX audit, taking over a stalled design, or working in parallel with your developers during implementation.
-
We remain involved during development to support implementation, review progress, and ensure the final product matches the approved design and user experience.
-
We design interfaces for connected products, IoT dashboards, embedded displays, device companion apps, where the interface is one component of a larger hardware and software system. Because our UX/UI team works alongside our electrical engineers and embedded software developers, the interface is designed with the full technical context in mind from the start, not handed over to a separate agency after the hardware is built.
Design the interface your connected product deserves.
